Performance Painting Helps Bring a Little Color to Local Family’s Home
After Fire Destroys It.
The Williams Family lost everything, but still had each other and their caring community. In December of 2013 Performance Painting decided to “Pay It Forward” and not only give the winner of the Gift of Color a paint makeover, but also paint the Williams reconstructed home after a house fire completely destroyed it.
Ronnie and Rhonda Williams have been waiting for seven months to move back into their home after a divesting fire destroyed it. The couple had been staying with friends as their church, family and friends have helped them rebuild their destruction into a home again.
Catholic Charities was the winner of the 2013 Gift of Color Paint Makeover in December of 2013. They wanted to help the Williams family also and have decided to help the volunteers of Performance Painting paint the Williams home.
“We felt compelled to do something for them. So, that if we were the winners, we wanted to ‘Pay It Forward’ and do something on their behalf to help them, said Jennifer Garizio, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Jacksonville.
“We’ve been staying in touch with the Williams family, awaiting the final word that their home has been completed and ready for paint. This family gives so much to their community, it only seemed natural for myself and my team to give them a Gift of Color,” said Jason Parker, owner of Performance Painting.
“Performance Painting’s help couldn’t have come at a better time. We are truly blessed,” said Ronnie Williams, the homeowner of the house that was destroyed in October of 2013.
