JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2012) – Spring cleaning has come early for one local nonprofit. Performance Painting and Money Pages announced that the First Coast No More Homeless Pets’ facility, located at 6817 Norwood Ave. in Jacksonville, Fla., will see a spruced-up building starting at 3 p.m. on March 3.

In January, PerformanceWinner of Gift of Color: Jacksonville’s Homeless Pets Performance Painting, Money Pages and Pap Johns all come together to reward First Coast No More Homeless Pets with a Gift of Color Paint Mak Painting and Money Pages magazine named First Coast No More Homeless Pets the winner of the Gift of Color giveaway. The giveaway, announced in November 2011, included a $7,500 paint makeover.

The Gift of Color makeover began by taking nominations for potential deserving winners and then the nominations were opened for the community to vote. First Coast No More Homeless Pets won the Gift of Color after receiving the most votes within the community and going through an interview process with Performance Painting and Money Pages and against the top four community winners.

“We are glad we are able to help such a viable asset to our community,” said Money Pages CEO Alan Worley. “First Coast No More Homeless Pets is a deserving organization that will benefit greatly from receiving the Gift of Color makeover.”

Founded in 2001, First Coast No More Homeless Pets mission is to eliminate the killing of dogs and cats in our community through free and low-cost spay and neuter programs. Spay and neuter programs are the only proven method for controlling the pet overpopulation problem. As spay/neuter surgeries increase, shelter and euthanasia rates decrease. In April 2009, First Coast No More Homeless Pets opened their state of the art high-volume and high-quality spay/neuter and wellness clinic and in 2010 First Coast No More Homeless Pets averaged 2,000 spay/neuter surgeries every month.
